Crude futures settle lower
NEW YORK, July 23 -- Oil prices fell on Tuesday.
The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery decreased by 1.44 U.S. dollars, or 1.84 percent, to settle at 76.96 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for September delivery dropped by 1.39 dollars, or 1.69 percent, to settle at 81.01 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
