"people want to invest, they want to be successful.......they need to have big dreams, and grit....and of course, knowledge and mind set."

what is happening to palm oil? why is it at 10 years low?

temporary or permanent structural problem?

should contrarians be bullish?

considering palm oil is at 10 years low......fortunately Malaysia as a country also did well in diversifying its economy......

ps

It is estimated that there are 17 million hectares of mature palm oil plantations across the equator, producing a total of 62 million tonnes of palm oil in 2015. The second largest global vegetable oil, soya, takes up 120 million hectares, producing 48 million tonnes of soya oil.

When IOI and GENP and the like can make RM600 per ton CPO, why FGV (Felda settlers) made only RM40 per ton ???

I think it is a structural issue with supply more than demand...Indonesia and Africa....

competitors like soya also low due to advances in technologies.....

Massive over supply scenario , as coming from Indonesia, huge supply in pipe line as more and more new trees came in maturity. Bio diesel also cannot solve the problem.Need slowly, switch to other crops, and make land use more effectively.

Please do not use B10 biodiesel for your car! This warning from BMW.

look at this statistics.....they go blame palm oil.....

the west keep attacking palm oil for environmental reasons but one statistics tells the true story.....It is estimated that there are 17 million hectares of mature palm oil plantations across the equator, producing a total of 62 million tonnes of palm oil in 2015. The second largest global vegetable oil, soya, takes up 120 million hectares, producing 48 million tonnes of soya oil. Palm oil 3.6 tonnes per hectare....soya 0.4 tonnes per hectare....a factor of 10 improvement over soya.........any fairness in this world, any thing based on facts in this world?
