KUALA LUMPUR: RGB International Bhd's shares were the most actively traded in the first hour of trading after it refuted claims of providing political funding during GE15 in a filing with Bursa Securities yesterday.

In a filing with Bursa Securities, it said its wholly-owned unit, RGB Sdn Bhd only does outright sale of gaming machines and its accessories, and has no involvement or ownership in Malaysia's slots clubs.

The company was commenting on a news article published by Sabahkini2 on August 27, 2023 which alleged that RGB International was among the companies that were raided by MACC in ongoing investigations into political parties receiving funds from gaming companies for GE15 and also the recently concluded six state elections.

The report also alleged that RGB International's managing director Datuk Seri Chuah Kim Seah dan non-executive director Tan Sri Norazman Hamidun were remanded by MACC.

RGB International's disclosure however did not address these allegations and no announcements have been made by the company on any action taken against its directors.

As at 9.58am, the company's share price was down 6.45 per cent to 29 sen with some 124.6 million shares changing hands.
