KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Mohd Tamrin Abdul Ghafar today said he is ready to answer all questions about his recent blog post in court.

Tamrin, who is the son of former deputy prime minister Tun Abdul Ghafar Baba, said all questions will be answered if he was charged in court.

"I am ready to answer (all the questions)," he said after having his statement taken by the police at its headquarters today.

Earlier, Tamrin arrived at Bukit Aman at 10.35am to provide his statement.

He was called up over a blog post on his predictions of the country's leadership and the state of Malay politics in the next 10 years.

His lawyer Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali said his client had fully cooperated with the police.

"Tamrin was here to cooperate (with the police), which he did fully. The angle of the investigation was into his post titled '10 tahun lagi, DAP akan jadi tuan'."

Rafique said an investigation paper was opened under Section 505(c) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

Asked if Tamrin would be called up again, Rafique said he believed that the investigation has been completed.

"The police have all the details needed as Tamrin had fully cooperated and has never hidden from the fact that he wrote the article (blog post).

"We will let the police complete their investigations and thereafter, for the attorney-general to do the necessary if charges were to be pressed at all."

On Thursday (April 11), Tamrin told the New Straits Times that he had been summoned by the police over his blog post.

He said he received a phone call from the police on Monday (April 8) afternoon regarding his post on April 4.

He said another officer later called him on Wednesday (April 10), who introduced himself as from Bukit Aman's Classified Crimes Investigations Unit, to seek his cooperation in an investigation related to the blog.
