UMNO Youth leader Dr Akmal Saleh claimed that the current increase in the price of goods is due to the targeted diesel subsidies that went into force on June 10.

Akmal said his party took the implementation of the policy seriously, which is seen as a hasty decision.

“UMNO Youth take seriously the government’s move which is seen to be hasty in implementing targeted subsidies by withdrawing bulk diesel subsidies that resulted in the floating of diesel prices based on current market prices.

“We support the subsidy targeting policy but of course it needs to be done in stages,” he said at a press conference after a UMNO Youth Exco Meeting at Menara PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.

Dr Akmal pointed out the withdrawal of subsidies during the administration of former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak was done in stages to reduce the economic impact on the people.

“When Najib was prime minister, subsidies were withdrawn little by little because we understood the state of the country’s economy and knew the impact on the country’s economy.

“So, we are suggesting to the government today that this subsidy targeting be carried out in stages so that we can see and reduce the economic impact on the people,” he added. - June 22, 2024

Dickheads have no clue how to manage economy, but remain obstinate in leading all critical department. Even if appoint out of the clan, a deputy will be appointed from their clan to oversee and override decisions. That is how it works in Bolehland.

Only way to pare down prices is to strengthen Ringgit. Can do?

WORK FROM HOME damages relationship.
Imagine you are working from a small home, with children.
You cannot stop or restrict their life by telling them not to make noise or play.
You cannot ignore your wife by telling her that you are busy, otherwise she will be busy with someone else. WFH cracks up families and relationship.
WFH is advantageous to employers to cut cost on various bills. You are the sucker who will pay high cost for electricity bill and have stress.
