KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Christina Liew says the stability provided by the current Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)-PH coalition is crucial for focusing on serving the people.

On Sunday, Sabah Chief Minister and GRS leader Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said they are confident that the coalition's partnership with Sabah PH would sustain their government in upcoming state elections.

"I support the chief minister's vision. Our priority now is stability to drive economic growth for both state and federal governments," Liew said after opening the Sabah Rivers management workshop at a local hotel.

Liew acknowledged GRS deputy chairman Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan's recent request for PH to use a common logo but said that PKR used its own logo when it partnered with Parti Warisan in the last election.

"All options are on the table, and final agreements between parties will guide our decision. I believe collaboration offers the best chance for success," Liew added.

Regarding GRS's call to contest all 73 state seats without peninsula-based parties, Liew described it as not new. She said the government benefits from representation by both local and peninsula-based parties.

"My focus remains on serving the people, regardless of their party affiliations," the Api-Api assemblyman said, whose constituency includes supporters from various political backgrounds.

"We work with every party to deliver services. Serving the people is our main priority."
