Good morning to All. 

Following the closure and review of the 2015 Contest, please find below my comments / analysis of a few interesting points. 

1. AWARD OF PRIZES 
If I may recall, the top 3 contestants in the main contest shall receive a one year complimentary subscription worth RM 960 from OTB. Now that OTB is the winner, he shall give away his prize to the 4th ranked participant. Thus the prizes shall be awarded to CFTrader. gohkimhock and Collin Soo. Congratulations. 

Again, if I am not mistaken, the winner of the self-managed portfolio is also eligible for the complimentary subscription. Can you please confirm, OTB. If I am correct then imoogi99 will get the prize.

2. Concur with icon8888. Almost all the those in the top ten greatly benefited from their selection of export related stocks which made massive profits from the strengthening of the USD. OTB has the foresight to take advantage of this and in fact 3 of his stock picks, namely Hevea, Pohuat and VS accounted for about 70% of his total profits. Having said that not even a single top 10 contestants managed to have a 100% profits from the counters selected. 

The closest is icon8888 where out of 9 stocks only one (Tongher) registered a small loss. Nest is paperplane. Of his 14 stocks selected only 3 recorded losses (less than 1K).

3. In the main competition, 11 out of 56 contestants achieved gains exceeding 50% whilst 14 incurred losses. Over to the self managed portfolio the top 3 made profits more than 50%. Only 4 were in red.

4. Thanks to KW for taking the time and effort in organizing the yearly contest and although he has set the terms and conditions of the 2016 contest, I would like to suggest the following:- 

(a) For those who submit after the initial closing deadline at 8 am 4th January, the price of the selected stocks should be at the close of 31st December 2015 or the closing price prior to the day the selections are made, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER. This is to ensure that everyone starts at the "same" level for the purpose of Fairness and Transparency. 

(b) I feel that imoogi99 being the winner of the self managed portfolio, should deserve an automatic place. However the rules are set and should not be changed. Thus I would suggest that he takes over from CFTrader who has indicated that he will not participate in this year's contest. 

The above are just my opinion. I leave it to KW to make the final call.

I agreed with you on all 4 winners. I will give away my price to 4th rank participant since I came out first.

OTB - I reckon that although KW is the organizer, he leaves the outcome of the final results to me, if I am not wrong. That's why even though he has computed the results earlier, he was waiting for me to verify and confirm. Thanks
