The FBM KLCI trended towards the 1,700 level on the back of sustained buying interest within most of the index heavyweights; AXIATA rose 19.0 sen, while SIME and MAYBANK gained 17.0 sen and 8.0 sen respectively. Most of the metal-related stocks were under the limelight as ANNJOO gapped-up amid a good set of results, while MASTEEL and MYCRON advanced 4.0 sen and 3.0 sen respectively.
