The FBM KLCI (-0.3%) extended its’ losses after lingering mostly in the negative territory yesterday, dragged down by Petronas-related heavyweights after the national oil company withdrew the legal action against 5.0% petroleum product sales tax imposed by the Sarawak state government. Market breadth remained negative as losers overtook the gainers on a ratio of 556-to-407 stocks. Amidst the mixed broader market, the technology sector (+1.3%) outperformed following the record closing in Nasdaq overnight.
