FBM KLCI: 1,589.19 pts (+7.00pts, +0.44%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.4%) ended higher after flipping between the positive and negative territories; bargain hunting picked up steam in the final trading hour on selected banking, plantation, shipping and Petronas-related stocks. Market breadth turned positive as the gainers overpowered the losers by 631-to-399 stocks. Meanwhile, 11 of the 13 major sectors of the broader indices closed in the green, led by 1.5% rise in the transportation & logistics sector; TOCEAN (+21.0 sen), AIRPORT (+20.0 sen), and MISC (+10.0 sen) were some of the leaders in the sector.
