FBM KLCI: 1,542.53 pts (-6.59pts, -0.43%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.43%) declined for the third consecutive session, as the key index slipped into the negative territory in the afternoon session amid steep selloff in plantation heavyweights. Market breadth turned negative as the decliners overruled the advancers by 545-to-355 stocks. The plantation sector (-2.62%) plunged as selloff in IOICORP (-32.0 sen), SIMEPLT (-16.0 sen), and KLK (-48.0 sen) weighed on the sectorial index. On the contrary, the energy sector (+1.41%) remained in the upward trend.
