The FBM KLCI (+0.66%) soared above the critical 1,500 level amid steady buying interest into index heavyweights, marking its fourth consecutive session of gains. Market breadth remained positive as the advancers thumped the decliners by 546-to-355 stocks. The broader market traded in the positive tone with 12 out of the 13 major sectorial indices ended in the positive region. The plantation sector (+1.73%) was the best performing sector, triggered by a jump in CPO price; leading stocks include IOICORP (+10.0 sen), KLK (+58.0 sen), and SIMEPLT (+4.0 sen).
