FBM KLCI: 1,505.56 pts (+13.23pts, +0.89%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.89%) rallied above the key 1,500 level as investors shrugged off worries over steep interest rate hikes in view of the lower-than-expected CPI numbers in the US. Market breadth turned positive as the advancers trounced the decliners by 628-to-260 stocks. The broader market ended largely in the positive territory as the technology sector (+4.25%) witnessed a strong surge following the overnight jump in Nasdaq; powered by gains in INARI (+11.0 sen), VITROX (+40.0 sen), and FRONTKN (+20.0 sen). Meanwhile, the healthcare sector (-0.72%) was the sole declining sector.
