The FBM KLCI (-0.31%) pared all its intraday gains and slipped below the psychological 1,400 level as quick profit taking activities kicked in in the afternoon session. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners outnumbered the advancers by 499-to-343 stocks. However, the plantation sector (+0.70%) outperformed the negative-biased broader market as SIMEPLT (+7.0 sen), KLK (+18.0 sen), and TAANN (+16.0 sen) led gains.
