FBM KLCI: 1,478.54 pts (+11.41pts, +0.78%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.78%) ended the volatile week on a positive note led by the plantation heavyweights. Market breadth however was negative with the decliners outpaced the advancers by 488-to-409 stocks. The plantation sector (+4.97%) outperformed the broader market as SIMEPLT (+42.0 sen), IOICORP (+29.0 sen), and KLK (+74.0 sen) traded positively for the session and it could be due to the FTSE rebalancing activities. Meanwhile, the transportation & logistic (+0.53%) and consumer products & services (0.49%) were among the top performing sectors.
