FBM KLCI: 1,474.68 pts (+6.33pts, +0.43%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.43%) pared earlier losses to close in the positive territory amid improved sentiment ahead of the long weekend. Market breadth, however turned negative as the decliners outnumbered the advancers by 430-to-393 stocks. The healthcare sector (+2.59%) rallied as follow-through buying interest emerged in IHH (+15.0 sen), TOPGLOV (+6.5 sen), and SUPERMX (+4.5 sen); the gloves had a strong buying interest in view of the Covid-19 situation in China. Meanwhile, the utilities sector (+0.84%) moved higher.
