The FBM KLCI (-0.15%) retreated on the final trading day of April despite the overnight rallies on Wall Street as selling pressure dominated across the financial services and plantation heavyweights. Market breadth was negative as the decliners outnumbered the advancers by 427-to-398 stocks. The technology sector (+0.90%) outperformed the broader market, buoyed by MYEG (+2.0 sen), UNISEM (+7.0 sen), and INARI (+3.0 sen), while the utilities sector (-0.91%) staged a pullback amid improved risk appetite in the market.
