FBM KLCI: 1,413.52 pts (+6.83pts, +0.49%)

The FBMKLCI (+0.49%) extended the session higher with buying interest seen on the plantaion and telco heavyweights such as SIMEPLT (+13.0 sen), IOICORP (+8.0 sen) and CDB (+6.0 sen). Market breadth, however was negative with 487 losers vs. 429 gainers as profit taking activities emerged within the FBM Small Cap and FBM ACE. On the broader market, the plantation (+1.65%) gained momentum with the firmer crude palm oil price trading above the RM4,000 level, while the property sector rose +0.59% led by MRCB (+4.0 sen) and UEMS (+3.5 sen).
