FBM KLCI: 1,455.04 pts (+0.09pts, +0.01%)

The FBM KLCI ended marginally higher after trading mostly in the negative zone following the conclusion of both the Johor by-elections. Also, investors digested the 12th Malaysia plan midterm review with a slightly positive tone given bargain hunting activities were seen across the index heavyweights. Market breadth was fairly negative with decliners outpaced advancers by a ratio of 2-to-1. On the broader market, the Property (-0.89%) and Construction (-0.65%) sectors noticed heavy profit taking actvities led by UOADEV (-5.0 sen), SIMEPROP (-1.5 sen), IJM (-1.0 sen) and EKOVEST (-1.0 sen). On the flip side, the Technology sector rose 0.27%, led by INARI (+5.0 sen) and GREATEC (+9.0 sen)
