FBM KLCI: 1,446.39 pts (+4.42pts, +0.31%)

The FBM KLCI (+0.31%) ended higher in tandem with the mostly postive regional markets, coupled with the solid close last week on Wall Street; last minute buying pressure was noticed within PCHEM (+11.0 sen). Market breadth was positive with gainers led losers by 483-to-397 stocks. On the broader market, the Utilities sector (+2.80%) closed higher thanks to buying support in YTL (+18.0 sen) and YTLPOWR (+9.0 sen) continuing the momentum after the Jensen Huang visit in Malaysia last week. Meanwhile, the Energy sector ended lower, declining by -0.42% following the selling pressure in DIALOG (-3.0 sen) and ARMADA (-1.0 sen).
