The FBM KLCI (-0.56%) ended lower, in line with the negative performance of the regional markets, as the index was dragged by the losses in selected Telco, Banking and Industrial Products heavyweights, namely CDB (-13.0 sen), MAYBANK (-10.0 sen) and PMETAL (-12.0 sen). Market breadth was fairly even as gainers were slightly ahead of losers by 510-to-502 stocks. On the broader market, the Property sector (+1.03%) was the leading sector led by buying interest in IOIPG (+6.0 sen) and UEMS (+3.0 sen), while the Utilities sector (-0.58%) declined due to selling pressure in TENAGA (-10.0 sen).
