The FBM KLCI (+0.35%) ended higher, despite the mixed regional markets performance. Also, the sentiment on Wall Street stabilised and the FBM KLCI was supported by selected Banking, Telco and Utilities heavyweights. Market breadth was positive as gainers more than doubled losers at 717-to-318 stocks. On the broader market, the Construction sector (+1.64%) was the leading sector due to buying interest in IJM (+6.0 sen) and GAMUDA (+4.0 sen), while the Plantation sector (-0.56%) was the sole decliner amid selling pressure in IOICORP (-5.0 sen) due to declining CPO prices.
