Hi Guys,

I have An Investment Approach I which I would like to all.

Hi guys,

In a few more days will be 12 MP (Malaysia Plan) Budget

Let us separate the facts from fiction as we look into history

Before that let's see this

No contracts will be handed out under NFCP, says Gobind

The National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan aims to lay optical fibre cables across the country for Internet connections at much faster speeds. (Bernama pic)

KUALA LUMPUR: Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo today dismissed talk that Opcom Holdings Bhd will be the biggest contract recipient in a national plan to lay optical fibre cables across the country for faster internet connectivity.

Speaking to reporters after the GSMA Mobile 360 launch ceremony here today, he said the government would not hand out contracts to anyone.

“Let me make it very clear – the National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP) is not a project. It is a plan that indicates what the government wants to do over a period of five years.”

He said neither the government nor the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) would award contracts to anyone.

The telcos will decide who they want to appoint in respect to whatever it is they want to carry out under NFCP,” he added.

“So it’s not a case where RM21 billion is given to one company that is Opcom. I think whoever says that has misunderstood.”

MCMC recently rubbished such talk as well, saying no one company providing a specific technology can be the biggest benefactor of NFCP.

“Therefore, it is not right to name Opcom as the biggest benefactor from the NFCP,” it said in a statement.

This followed a 16% spike in Opcom’s share prices three weeks ago, which raised rumours that the company would benefit the most from NFCP.

The company’s major shareholder is Mukhriz Mahathir, the son of Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

CORRECT! GOVT DOES NOT HAND OUT CONTRACTS

“The telcos will decide who they want to appoint in respect to whatever it is they want to carry out under NFCP,” he added.

CORRECT AGAIN!

"THE TELCOS WILL BE THE ONES MAKING THE FINAL DECISION

Opcom Cables Sdn Bhd has on 21st April 2009 received a Letter of Award amounting to RM359 million from Telekom Malaysia Berhad ("Telekom") for the supply, delivery, training and support services of Passive FTTH System to Telekom for a period of two (2) years ("Award").

A WHOPPPING RM359 MILLIONS FOR FTTH (FIBER TO THE HOME) FOR TELEKOM

THIS SINGLE JOB ORDER RESULTED IN 3 SPECIAL AND NORMAL DIVIDENDS OF 35 SEN FOR YEARS 2011/2

See Opcom Dividend History

SO GOBIND IS CORRECT!

TELCOS WILL AGAIN DECIDE THIS ROUND ALSO

OF THE RM21.6 BILLIONS FOR NFCP HOW MUCH WILL BE TELEKOM'S SHARE?

See

TM may bear up to half of NFCP's RM21.6b cost — AmInvestment

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 20): Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) may bear up to half of Malaysia's National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan's (NFCP) estimated cost of RM21.6 billion due to TM's role as Malaysia's national broadband provider, acccording to AmInvestment Bank Bhd.

How much is half of Rm21.6 BILLIONS

About RM10.8 BILLIONS

AND HOW MANY TIMES BIGGER COMPARED TO YEAR 2009 RM359 MILLIONS

ABOUT 60.16 X (TIMES) OR 6,016% MORE. THAT'S A LOT!

OK THAT'S FOR OPCOM WHICH HAS ALREADY APPOINTED 2 CEOs FOR THE UPCOMING TASK

LET'S LOOK AT NETX

EXACTLY 2 YEARS AFTER OPCOM SUPPLIED FIBER OPTIC CABLES TO TELEKOM = TELEKOM THEN APPOINTED ARIANTEC (NETX)

Ariantec up on sub-contract to supply equipment to TM

KUALA LUMPUR: ACE Market-listed Ariantec Global Bhd’s shares rose on Wednesday, Sept 7 after its unit secured a RM19.76 million sub-contract for bandwidth management equipment for Telekom Malaysia Bhd.
At 9.18am, Ariantec added half a sen to 3.5 sen with 601,000 shares traded.
It said on Sept 6 that Ariantec Sdn Bhd had secured the contract from Niagara Technologies International Sdn Bhd, a systems integrator to supply, install and maintain TM’s bandwidth equipment.

ARIANTEC WAS TAKEN OVER AND RENAMED AS NETX TODAY

And On The Official Website of NETX they mentioned TELEKOM AS their Customer

See

Our Projects

With more than 15 years of track record

Telekom Malaysia

We helped installed Telekom Malaysia infrastructure

OK NOW WE GOT THE FIGURES
WHEN TELEKOM SECURED RM359 MILLIONS WORTH OF OPTIC CABLES TELEKOM DISHED OUT RM19.76 MILLIONS INFRAR JOB TO NETX
THAT WAS 5.5%
NOW WITH RM10.8 BILLIONS 5.5% WOULD BE RM594 MILLIONS INFRAR JOBS FOR NEXT (POSSIBLE)?
2011 TO 2019 HAS ALREADY BEEN A LAPSE OF 8 YEARS SINCE NETX INSTALLED TELEKOM INFRASTRUCTURE

THE SAME EMPLOYEES IN NETX HAVE ALL THE EXPERIENCE, THE PAST PROCUREMENT RECORDS, SIZE & SPECIFICATIONS
SO IT IS LOGICAL THAT NETX SHOULD AT LEAST GET SOME JOB AWARD AGAIN THIS ROUND FOR TELEKOM
AND MORE. 50% OF THE OTHER RM21.6 BILLIONS MIGHT ALSO GO TO ALL OTHER PLAYERS = REDTONE, NETX, OCK & GPACKET & OTHER UNLISTED PLAYERS
THIS ROUND THE PIE IS VERY BIG - BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL
NETX'S DIRECTORS ARE SANGUINE AND THROUGH ASIABIO THEY HAVE SCOOPED UP CHUNKS OF NETX SHARES FROM THE OPEN MARKET LATELY

Opcom?

"no selling this round"

Last round in year 2009 I sold opcom too early substantially and holding a smaller portion when it crossed Rm1. 00 then

I had learnt my lesson

Last round fiberisation was RM359 millions

Now a whopping Rm21. 6 Billions

Now is not the time to sell as Opcom is at the onset of a very very powerful bull run time

Any weakness just add every day and every week

I even cutloss in other laggard shares and switch to Opcom

Opcom

Nrcp stocks in Focus will be

1. Opcom
2. Netx
3. Redtone
4. Gpacket
5. Ock

Of the 5 above I like Opcom and Netx. REDtone somewhat. REDtone ok as it has high net cash and even pays a smaller dividend

Gpacket has been bidded up by Spore fund. Ock has high debt

More about these 5 stocks in another post

Last time I bought into value stocks which have not catalyst to unlock value
So I have been keeping for umpteen years and averaging down and down

Although I still don't mind doing it like holding mui bhd, Talam, Asb, asiapac, bj corp and other value stocks I think many will not be able to stomach it.

Like investing in Pm Corp for 7 long years before result finally justified holding it

Now Calvin has discovered trend

Like this year of 2019 has been the trend for oil and gas stocks

THE powerful moves in Carimin, naim/Dayang, Penergy and Uzma were due to the infusion of Petronas money in upstream capex for rm30 millions

So Calvin sees the Rm21. 6 Billions Cash injection into Nationwide fiberisation will be good for Opcom, netx and redtone in particular

2019-09-27 23:38

calvintaneng

For upstream Petronas has rm30 billoons for Malaysia and another rm30 billions for international upstream

AND Petronas has hinted that another Rm35 billions jobs will be awarded before 2019 ends

So the oil and gas bull still has some leg left before its transition into THE DIGITAL ECONOMY STOCKS OF 2020

2019-09-27 23:42

Michael Kwok

One thing,I dun think Petronas will give 35 billion project 2 nd half.Maybe 20-25 billion. Its should move to year 2020.Partly OG and digital economy in year 2020.

2019-09-27 23:59

calvintaneng

Michael Kwok is correct

Some second liners oil and gas stocks have yet to run much like scomies, Armada, sapnergy, T7 global, azrb and others

I like scomies for it's clean balance sheet among all others like penergy
