Hi Guys,

I have An Investment Approach I which I would like to all.

Dear Investors and traders of i3 Forum,

There is now a new found zeal in ESG. Environment Social Governance. Good as it may seem to safeguard the environment & the social well being of disadvantaged workers so called.

It was done to Malaysia's medical gloves by the US. Then it spread to Palm oil. Never before there is such an uproar against palm oil as a violater of ESG. Now look at its implication, ramification & unintended consequences if you will

1) ITS IMPLICATIONS

Palm oil has been around for more than half a century. Malaysia is the Top 2nd exporter of palm oil after Indonesia being world number one.

Why singled out Palm oil? Is it due to forest desceration & the killlings of orang utans & wildlife? According to Mr. Shane, the Assist Manager of IjmPlant it was not the oil palm estates that cut down the forest. It was actually the timber loggers that cut down the forest long before Oil palm planters move in to plant palm oil.

Today, both Malaysia give employment & livelihood to millions. So to snuff out palm oil means to harm the people in untold misery. Is the concern of Orang Utans more important than Human lives? Of course not. Human lives are of the paramount concern

2) ITS RAMIFICATIONS

It was during the Asian Financial Crisis that IMF told Asian Banks to Stop Lending, Raise Interest Rates & raise Taxes!

Untold damage was done to Thailand, Korea & Indonesia. Korean Chaebols collapsed into the hands of US companies which bought them up for a song. Indonesia economy colllapsed with Rupiah in Free Fall! Millions of Indonesians were impoverished & hundreds of thousands of Indonesia Chinese got their shops looted & homes burnt

All because of this bitter medicine from IMF

See our extracts (From the Asian Financial Crisis)

INDONESIA & KOREA WENT TO THE IMF FOR HELP

Even with the Help of IMF Suharto Fell. The impoverised Indonesians could not survive below One  US dollar a day.  Many plundered the rich Chinese. Seeing this the S’PORE GOVT gave RM5 Billion aid to Indonesia.  Many Korean Assets were sold at Fire Sale prices to US Companies. IMF means different things to different people.

  1. For Suharto IMF means  “I Am Fallen”.
  2. For Mahathir: “I Am Fine”
  3. For Anwar, “I Am Fired (Now I Am Fan Sang - As in ham yi fan sang!)
  4. For Korean Company bosses, “I Am Finished”
  5. To poor Indonesians, “I Am Famished”.
  6. To Indonesian Chinese, “I Am Fearful”.
  7. For Singapore Govt, “I Am Friendly”
  8. For Thousands of Business Men, “I Am Failing”
  9. For Those Owing Loan Sharks, “I Am Fleeing””
  10. To countless multitude, “I Am Forsaken”

As For The Americans, they do the Very Opposite of what they advocate.  Through IMF they told Asian Nations to Stop Lending & Raise Interest Rates, Raise taxes, Raise Petrol Prices.

THE US THROUGH QE 1, QE 2 LEND FREE MONEY TO BANKS. INTEREST RATES IS SUPRESSED TO ZERO.

The Hypocritical US is doing the Very Opposite of what they told Asian Nations to do in 1997/8 Asian Financial Crisis

So are they correct this round telling us that Palm oil is no good due to ESG concern?

3) THE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES OF ESG ON PALM OIL

Just go to any SuperMarket in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore or Indonesia.

50% of All Supermarket items contain palm oil

Go check out all the types of Bread: All got palm oil

All the biscuit contains palm oil

All the ice-cream, cakes, cookies got palm oil.

Shampoo, soap, hair cream, lip stick, hair dye, nail polish got palm oil

Infant formula contains palm oil

Washing detergent got palm oil

Every cup of teh tarih or creamer got palm oil

Maggie Mee, Mamee & all instant noodle got palm oil

Malaysia Nestle Milo got palm oil. In fact Nestle is moving away from animal diary to milk substitute like palm oil

So just think without Palm Oil half of Supermarket shelves will be empty

See

Food suppliers warn of panic buying and empty shelves over winter | The Independent

SO HOW?

Replace palm oil with what?

Soybean oil, Corn oil, Canola oil, Olive Oil, Peanut OIl, Seasame oil or any other oils?

no! No!! NO!!!

Palm oil use only 1/7 land to produce compared to Soybean oil. No other vege oil is more efficient to produce on planet earth than palm oil with less land & resources needed for most productive output every month of the year unlike others which are seasonal. And Soybean oil as well as all other Vege oil are more expensive than Palm oil by 25% to 200% any where on earth today

Suppose you replace palm oil with other MORE EXPENSIVE COOKING OIL

Millions & Billions will then SINK DOWN IN ABJECT POVERTY DUE TO VERY VERY HIGH INFLATION & THE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES IS MASS STARVATION!

IMF Caused The Burnings in Indonesia & the Bankruptcies & suicides in Korea when it told them to Stop Lending, Raise Interest Rates & Raise Taxes?

High Food Prices caused Arab Spring to rise in Algeria with the Fall of Nations with Mubarak the first victim. How many others the US want to destroy?

NOW USA & EUROPE WANT THE WHOLE WORLD TO GO UP IN CONFLAGRATION BY PUTTING AWAY PALM OIL?

The Very Idea! Perish the Unthinkable!

Now ESG Should Apply To These

1) US Should ban the Export of Cigarettes which cause cancer. For Environment & Social Well Being of people

2) US Should stop selling weapons of war which only kill and maim people.

Best Regards

Australian Recipe Milo sold in Singapore (no palm oil)

SO IF PALM OIL IS NOT AVAILABLE ALL MILO, BISCUIT, MAGGEE MEE, INSTANT NOODLE, ICE CREAM, HAIR CREAM, TOOTHPASTE WILL ALL GO UP BY 25% IN PRICE OR MORE

THE WORLD AS WE KNOW NOW WILL GO INTO HYPER INFLATION AS 50% OF ALL SUPER MARKET PRODUCTS CONTAIN PALM OIL.

THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE CHEAPER THAN PALM OIL & THAT COULD BE PRODUCED IN LARGE QUANTITY EFFICIENTLY.

Correctloh....!

Investment in palmoil listed companies got many tier offensive & defensive stategy mah!

Offensive

1. benefit from high oil price reap huge profit improvement, strong cash flow generation and strong and healthy balance sheet

2. Strong dividend will be forthcoming.

3. The govt of indonesia & msia have restricted new palmoil plantation development thus limited future plantation supply in the future which is good as it will lend support to its price loh!

Defensive

1. Land has a finite supply which is a good hedge against inflation

2. Currently plantation trade at a deep undervalue thus give big margin of safety for investor loh!

3. The current of hype of ESG trend which is unsustainable....give a good sound contrarian opportunity for a very strong rebound & upside for plantation going fwd loh!

When China stopped promoting steel export the prices of steel surged

Now with ESG Indonesia has made two drastic moves

1. Banning palm oil expansion for the last 3 years
2. Intention to ban export of Cpo in near future
All palm oil will go into downstream manufactures of value add products like cooking oil, soaps and others

Just like the curbing of steel export from China this single response to ESG by Indonesia will propel Cpo prices to even much higher prices in years to come
