He is a graduate in medicine from the University of Melbourne, Australia and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Working Experience
He was appointed Senior Lecturer (1971-1972), Associate Professor (1973-1980) and Professor & Head of Department of Surgery (1981-1988) at the National University of Singapore and Chief of University Department of Surgery at Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital until he retired in 1988. Since 1988 he is a Consultant Surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore.
