Dato' Goh served as an engineer in the Ministry of Works for eleven (11) years and was its Superintending Engineer prior to joining IJM Corporation Berhad as Senior Engineer in 1984. He was promoted as General Manager (Central Region) in 1986 and was made Alternate Director on 25 July 1995 before assuming the position of Deputy Group Managing Director on 1 January 1997. He was redesignated Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Deputy Managing Director in 2004, and upon his retirement, he remained as Executive Director for a year till 29 June 2009. He was later redesignated as Non-Executive Director on 30 June 2009.
