He worked as a Technical Assistant for Traffic Management Department of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur for a short period of one year (1977 to 1978) after completed his diploma and was a District Council Engineer for Majlis Daerah Gombak, Selangor Darul Ehsan from 1981 to 1988. Presently, he is a Director in Sepakat Setia Perunding (Sendirian) Berhad, a Consulting Engineering firm since 1992.
