He has been practising in Muar since 1988 and is presently the senior partner of J.A. Nathan & Co. He is the Honorary Legal Advisor of the Muar Furniture Association, the Muar Chinese Chambers of Commerce and several other non-government organisations. He was also elected State Assemblyman for the constituency of Maharani, Muar, Johor Darul Takzim for the period from 1995 to 1999. He was appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on 2 May 2001 and is presently a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Nomination Committee. He is also a Director of several private limited companies.
Family Relationship
He is the brother of Tay Kim Huat, the Managing Director and major shareholders of the Company and Tay Kim Hau, an Executive Director and shareholder of the Company.
