Upon graduation, he joined Malaysia Mining Corporation Berhad ("MMC") as an Internal Auditor. He was subsequently seconded to head MMC's wholly-owned subsidiary in London from 1992 to 1995 and upon his return, served in various management capacities within the MMC Group. He joined Gas Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in November 2000 and was Head of the residentail and commercial sales unit for natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas until March 2005. From 2005 to 2010, he was an Executive Director of MOCCIS Furniture Sdn. Bhd. and MCCM Marketing Sdn. Bhd.
