Dato' Douglas is a partner in Messrs Nesan, Cheng and Co, Advocates and Solicitors.
He is formerly the Managing Director of Widetech (Malaysia) Berhad. Prior to joining Widetech (Malaysia) Berhad as Managing Director, Dato' Douglas was in RHB Banking Group as a fund manager.
Dato' Douglas is also a Director in a number of companies that includes:-
-Daman Group, a property investment company, which manages a portfolio of 19 commercial and residential projects in Malaysia.
-GPL Group Sdn Bhd, a gaming management firm, that manages 54 luxury sports and recreational clubs throughout Malaysia.
-Sports Planet, a regional chain of franchised sport venues across Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
Aside from the director positions held above, Dato' Douglas is also active in the F&B and lifestyle entertainment segments.
He is a key player behind the development of the RM323 million TREC project - Malaysia largest integrated lifestyle entertainment hub.
Additionally, Dato' Douglas is also the founding Deputy Chairman of the Dragon-i chain of Shanghainese cuisine restaurants that has 40 outlets nationwide.
Family Relationship
Son of Tan Sri Dato' Cheng Joo Teik, who is the Executive Director and substantial shareholder of Widetech (Malaysia) Berhad.
