Bhd. in 1980, he was with Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Perak from 1969 to 1976 and was the logging manager of Syarikat Usaha Jaya from 1976 to 1980. He is currently a director of Ikatan Sharikat Pembalak-Pembalak Perak Berhad and he also sits on the boards of directors of a number of private companies with interests in property development, timber logging and sawmilling, and investment holding.
