Mr Chong was the co-founder of the firm Messrs J.M. Chong, Vincent Chee & Co. Advocates & Solicitors which focuses in various areas of practice of the law which among others include real estate, banking, corporate and commercial matters. Throughout the years, Mr. Chong has thirty five years (35) years of experience as a legal practitioner and currently sits as the managing partner of the firm.
Mr Chong is the Vice President of the Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry ("KCCCI"); the Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the KCCCI and The Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Coastal Selangor; a council member of The Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, and also the Chairman of its Legal Affairs Committee; a member of the Legal Affairs Committee of The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia; a legal advisor of Malaysia Used Vehicle Autoparts Traders Association, The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Furniture Entrepreneur Association and Sekolah Menengah Chung Hua (PSDN) Klang.
