Working Experience
Mr Lim Boon Soon was appointed as Chief Technology Officer of I-Berhad on 2 May 2019. Mr Lim started his training as an Auditor with Messrs KPMG in 1999. He was an Automation Consultant and CRM Specialist for approximately 8 years where he also specialised in Cloud and Salesforce technologies and had also accumulated a wealth of experience in sales and marketing. In his current key role, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology of the I-Behad Group. This include amongst others, technology strategy, development as well as digitalisation and innovation, driving towards Smart City initiatives and solutions. Additionally, he is driving technology innovations which includes bringing new services to the mobile app dubbed i-City SuperApp, a seamless platform for smart living conveniences such as parking, rental of property, payments, job search, community chat and others. Mr Lim is also responsible for the 400G capable network upgrade for i-City enabling 400G High Availability network which provides Multi-Path enterprise grade internet with auto switchover capability. He was instrumental in the establishment of i-City as the first private funded MSC Malaysia Cybercentre including the setting-up of i-Citys first Tier-3 Data Centre more than 10 years ago. In his new role as I-Berhads Executive Director, Mr Lim would be spearheading the Groups Data Centre Zone expansion which includes the setting-up of 2 new Data Centres of 100,000 sq ft each at i-City South to meet the exponential demand for data centres due to the surging needs for Cloud computing arising from the increase in digitalisation.
Family Relationship
Mr Lim Boon Soon is the son of Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong (Chairman/major shareholder) and Puan Sri Tey Siew Thuan (Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer).
