Datuk Leong Yeng Kit ("Datuk Leong") read law at the University of Buckingham, graduating in 1995 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1998. He is the founder and managing partner of Leong Yeng Kit & Co.
He has extensive experience in banking, capital markets, corporate law, mergers and takeovers, commercial law, conveyancing, corporate restructuring, intellectual property, liquidation, receivership, litigation and fraud investigations.
He was the founder of and an Independent Non-Executive Director of RHB Indochina Bank Limited and RHB OSK Indochina Securities Limited and is currently the Group Managing Director of WiraDani Development Sdn. Bhd. & Three Woods Development Sdn. Bhd. Datuk Leong is also the Executive Chairman of ICO Group Limited, an IT business listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He is also involved in palm oil plantations through Riverview Rubber Estates Berhad. He has interests in the food and beverage industry, a share issuing house and registrar in Cambodia, and in the hospitality and entertainment industry.
He has held office at the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia, the Kiwanis Club of Bukit Kiara, Kolej Tuanku Jaafar Alumni Society and Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya. He is also the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia to Malaysia as well as a Special Legal Attorney for the State of Minnesota, USA.
