Ms. Chong started her career with Hanafiah, Raslan & Mohamad, the country's then leading local accounting firm in 1981. She was admitted as a member of The Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants (now known as The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 1987.
Ms. Chong has more than 30 years of experience in auditing, taxation, financial management, corporate finance and corporate secretarial. She had served at various capacities as senior management in two public listed companies having diverse interests, both locally and overseas, ranging from retailing, plantation, motor vehicle distribution to trading, shipping, properties & investment holding, fast food and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Bison Consolidated Berhad as Joint Company Secretary in May 2016, Ms. Chong was the Head of Finance of a conglomerate where she had been attached to for about 20 years, in charge of the group's accounting, financial and secretarial functions.
