1) Do not compare first quarter to fourth quarter as "Historically, the Group’s Q1
revenue was always lower due to the shorter business period as a result of holidays and Q4
tend to be our busier quarter due to ramp up in our customers’ business".

This means that they are actually doing pretty good in first quarter.

2) Net profit of Q1 is actually higher than Q4 where "previously it was due to a foreign exchange gain of RM3.4 million during the immediate preceding quarter. If we were to remove the foreign
exchange losses and gains from the respective results, Q1 would have been better than Q4
of 2016".

but the net profit was lower than the previous quarter. lets see how it goes tomorrow.

if i calculate correctly, EPS is 13.86, share price is 0.895, current PE is 6.5. given annjoo PE of 8x, prestar should be at least RM1.10 per share?

In addition, if you check back the director buyback history, you will notice that when Giancarlo Maccagno (Director) buy backs the share, the next few days the stock tends to go up. I am suffering losses too on this counter, I should have sold it when the financial report was reported because I anticipated it to be a very good report and turned out it is good and the price shot up as high as 1.99 if im not mistaken. However, due to greediness, i continue to hold it and now the price has gone down. i just wanted to remind myself always stick to my first plan. :)

First interim dividend to be announced this month, coupled with a good quarter result (anticipated). however, recently was purely technical play as the RSI was overbought on 14 Aug 2014. As of today, RSI is showing downtrend, the price might be traded between 1.83 and 1.86. Overall is very good to collect at 1.83 again. (Disclaimer: Trade at your own risk)

hold tight, even before the announcement of this coming quarter report, the price is hitting 1.95 and if today it closes at 1.95 which from the point of chart is very good and might continue its uptrend tomorrow. However, failing to close @1.95/above is not that good from the view of TA. But long term is ok one la. tak kan u wan to make few buckets of KFC only meh? haha

1 lot = 100, lets say u have 50 lots, which equals to 5000 shares. the par value of NTPM is 0.10. The dividend is 14.5% which is 0.145. The formula is 5000 x 0.145 x 0.10 = your dividend in RM.

Are you currently holding WASEONG? if fact, from what i can see from the chart, the current support level is 1.85 and today can see some buying interest @ 1.86, now waiting for it to break 1.89 to go further. As for the coming quarter, it should be a very good quarter if nothing goes wrong. Have some patience man, u will be rewarded.

david if they can have a good result this month, i believe it is just a matter of time for it to go up. I anticipate Waseong to have a good quarter result this second quarter of FY2014. Long-term should be good as they are having plans to minimize their huge swings in the main segment which is the pipe-coating segment.
