18 dead, 100 injured in boiler blast at NTPC power plant in Uttar Pradesh ...The boiler pipe burst in the 500 MW power generating unit that started operating in March at the plant in Unchahar, which is nearly 30 years old. A massive fire broke out and a huge ball of dust rose after the explosion, making rescue difficult..............The Unchahar plant started generating power in 1988 with five units of 210 MW each. The sixth unit was commissioned this year.

Just to share between Capital of Singapore management strategy : When I was with MRCB-Capital JV at KL SENTRAL Suasana Condominium development in 1999, due to Asia Financial Crisis ; Suansana Condominium project was delayed completion by about 1 years, so contractually Developer would required to be penalized and pay purchaser delay penalty (or LAD).. but since my other purchase from Berjaya was delayed too.. Berjaya was super smart not to pay me full LAD to me; 6 months delayed was granted EOT by Gov't Housing and Planning Department ; so Berjaya did not need to compensate for the first 6 months delay due to Govt's help, Also they instead of paying cash, I ended up received almost no cash but coupons and deduction of my future maintenance or service charge.. I just accepted as a small Purchaser, as we hope this could help Tycoon Berjaya survived the AFC...also they was no much one can do...

I thought this was super smart and intelligent idea and share with CAPITALAND mgt but this idea was consider stupid was rejected outright as my idea was taken as unwise and unethical and only forecast of short term gain !! I could not understand the decision made by the MD., Mr. Liew Mun Leong at that time, later only I understood when I see the future project of Capital in KL Sentral sold like hot cakes and appreciate 50%.. people came to recognise that CAPITALAND was not only good brand but the management had long vision and high business ethic, foresight etc., Also Rental Guarantee Scheme for 5 years promised for 65 units was fulfilled despite only 6-7% actually obtained (instead of 10% guaranteed)by CAPITALAND on Suasana Rental Scheme.. the TRUST was built from there, VERY WISE !! WIN-WIN and not WIN-LOSE strategy as compared to Billionaire's BERJAYA, just look at Berjaya Hill, after 20 years all properties still at lost or the zero appreciation, in fact actual sell was lower than purchased price on Meranti Park.. Golf membership still less than 1/3 of original bought price..if you go to the shop-lot near rabbit park at Berjaya Hill, you will see zero tenancy except one in-house convenience store...... you can cheat other or make fool of your purchasers and thinking you are smarter, more powerful but their pain, anger, even hatred are forever toward BERJAYA... HOPE TROPICANA management can do BETTER and not following his Tycoon Brother's BERJAYA HILL's super smart idea as thought by them but it is absolutely Unwise and unethical... !

It is extremely to difficult to make a business/living/profit in India ; You see big Japanese corp. like Taisei, Kajima, Shimizu, Obayashi etc., avoiding India almost all together due to past lesson learnt, cash flow nightmare, lack or extreme snail pace in approval from Asset Owner can be dreadful.. and coming, coming but never coming...., this is why I was told..
Despite that, If you live in India, you will see inconsistent and inadequate power, almost everyday power trip in Gurgaon, Delhi and many major cities.. every Hotel, Guess House, Diesel Genset is a must as back up as adequate basic electricity to major cities is still a big issue (as happened to KL 30 years back then) !!

Hi Johnny Cash, while back from India last month, having my vacation from Indian Ahmadabad-Mumbai High Speed Rail project, meeting with some ex-colleuge in KL's KVMRT/PDP/MRTCorp. on LRT3 and KVMRT project, feedback given was Mudajaya Project Management need some major improvement/reinforcement as their score card is not as impressive as IJM, Sunway, WCT, Gadang.., I believe the top mgt has already been made aware and I am just wishing some mitigations/improvements/corrective actions are on the way.....

L & T has been very successful to win lots of jobs and stay profitable ..,,Sendai have good connection with L&T and the news should be view as positive ; also ITC hotel that L&T won in Colombo should be positive needs as ITC is reputable and voted as one of the best Employer in India., I am able to understand why after staying on one of ITC managed hotel in Jaipur for 2 months....bet ITC Hotel chain the largest hotel chain in the world with LEED platinum award....

JUST CONFIRMED from Sri Lanka office that Larsen and Turbro (L&T) has been awarded the ITC Colombo Hotel Project .., which Sendai had been working together on the tender as well as previously Sendai also working with L&T (India Largest Contractor) on several prestigious project like Mumbai International Airport Signature Tower, Chennai, DAICEC, Mumbai all from L&T..,
ITC Colombo Hotel will have a sky bridge at level 22 between the (Chair like )twin tower ; T1 is 52 storey for aprtment unit and T2 is 33 storey Hotel tower connected by the sky bridge and the sky bridge will accommodate a swimming pool and cafe or restaurant which I believe is one very unique project pls download the picture ; Itc one Colombo to view this prestigious project..,so another bravo for Sendai.This is positive news for Sendai ?

I am also share holder of Sendai and naturally my intention is to see continue success in SENDAI as I believe SENDAI is fantastic co. ; last 2 years I was in Sri Lanka (now working in very challenging INDIA as “Chief Contract Expert”-on an world bank funded India mega Project

While working with China’s SOE in SRI LANKA regional office as Business Development SM, I had also given similar comment to CSOE (China State Owned Co.) that CSOE need to be more “international” for their foreign venture rather than using 90% of supplier from China!! So, with mgt approval, I started to invite international player like Sendai/PERI/VSL/Malaysian ID & MEP firm etc., to participate and collaborate for our tender Such as ITC Colombo Hotel & Colombo & Hambantota Shangri-La projects as I found CSOE still too Chinese orientated and I advised my Commercial director that change is needed and eventually my advice was appreciated despite many critics said I do not understand China’s politic, nevertheless, after that CSOE had been looking for keen Malaysia MEP contractors and ID co. and since I resigned last year, CSEO had employed many more Construction experts like me from Malaysia to strengthen their presence in South Asia……I do not know if ITC (Indian Tobacco Co.,)has finally awarded the Contract to the CSOE but I also had passed the Fantastic presentation of SENDAI’s on sky bridge installation to ITC project management for their consideration as NSC … My wish is final success to SENDAI, PERI and the CSOE....
