KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 4): Focus Dynamics Group Bhd has proposed to split each of its shares into three shares in a move to improve the trading liquidity of the shares.

The share split will take place based on an entitlement date to be determined later, and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of this year, the group in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

“The adjustment in the market price of the shares as a result of the proposed share split is expected to result in the split shares being more affordable, in order to appeal to a wider group of public shareholders and investors,” the group said.

Notwithstanding this, Focus Dynamics said the share split is not expected to alter the total value of the split shares.

i looked at PP for DNeX as something healthy as they needed money for Ping n SilTerra acquisitions. The PP price is normally lower than d trading price so as to get genuine long term investors.

i said it is healthy 'cos DNeX is not like other company that come out with news that they r building a glove factory or a vaccine center to entice ppl to buy their stock but never materialized! Once d price
goes up they will issued PP to raised money. The directors will then start selling their shares for personal gains! In matter of time d price dropped n ppl were caught holding d shares at high price.

how to own more DNeX shares? simply buy more warrants! still cheap!

China's largest refiner, Sinopec, said that domestic demand for oil products would peak by 2025 due to COVID-19 impacts.

"China's oil products will enter a final growth phase before peaking in the next five years," the Economics and Development Research Institute (EDRI) at Sinopec said, as carried by Argus.

According to the research institute, gasoline demand in China will likely peak in 2025, while demand for diesel could peak as soon as this year.

SilTerra surges ahead with silicon photonics. Since 2014, SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd has been working on a solution. It has developed processes that allow light to travel in waveguides built on silicon wafers. When these are cut and packaged into chips, they are known as silicon photonics chips.

Now that it has been developed and has started to attract attention from end-customers, what kind of returns is SilTerra projecting from silicon photonics alone? “We hope this new business will bring in US$45 million to US$60 million in revenue by 2023. Of course, we hope it will grow even further from that point,” says SilTerra CEO Firdaus Abdullah.

SilTerra vice-president of strategic management Tan Eng Tong tells Digital Edge that it is moving full speed ahead and developing cutting-edge technology (alongside some of the leading R&D organisations in the world) such as silicon photonics, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), Internet of Things (IoT) and life sciences/biosciences applications and a state-of-the-art Covid-19 test kit to capitalise on what it sees as future demand.

IMEC approached SilTerra in 2014 with development work on optical waveguides. “We did not know at the time where it would lead to and considered this as assisting a research partner. Over time, this evolved, our capabilities improved and the market matured to what it is today,” says Tan.

Nokia works with us to develop chips for its applications. Nokia’s chief technology officer for optical subsystems Michael Hochberg says working with SilTerra for the past several years has been a positive experience for the company.

We also partnered with Packaging Technologies GmBH (PacTech) which has been appointed by customers to package the chips into modules to sell to network companies such as Nokia, which, in turn, market them to data centre companies. PacTech technical marketing manager Sim Sy Jiun is similarly impressed.

Sustainable toilet paper: Bamboo rolls offered by subscription in Japan

TOKYO -- A Japanese startup will soon launch a subscription service for toilet paper made from bamboo with an eye toward environmentally conscious consumers.

Okaeri, based in Nagano Prefecture, will next month begin to deliver Bamboo Roll toilet paper made from 100% bamboo pulp and packaged in recycled cardboard.

An 18-roll package of Bamboo Roll will be priced at 1,800 yen ($17), which is pricier than conventional toilet paper. For a limited number of customers who preorder online, the price will be discounted to 1,440 yen.

warrant exercise price is 0.50 not 0.80, total cost should be 0.565 after conversion, think bout it ;)
