The virus keeps mutating to survive.

Foreign Funds accumulating Supermax at bargain prices.
--------------------------------------------------------
According to data from CGS-CIMB, Supermax TOPS THE LIST of net buys by foreign investors for the month of February, followed by Hartalega and Kossan in positions 2 and 3.

Local institutions were the largest net seller of Top Glove and Supermax stock in recent weeks.

Additionally, we recently learned that a popular investor has also disposed of his position in Supermax.

Foreign Funds are very well aware that Supermax is trading at Forward PE of 3.3 while sitting on RM3.56 Billion cash pile. Thais is what value investing is all about.

@linheng Price will recover to above $6 very soon. The selling is done by local Institutions. Except for those own by this IBs for leverage against the CWs they issued, I don't think they own that amount of Glove shares to sell. If they do, they would have sold at a higher price, not now.
Look are the bursa stats. A lot of selling is done by PROPRIETARY.
Who is PROPRIETARY?. This are trade by IBs for themselves done through IBs dealers. WHERE DOES THE SHARES COME FROM? THEY USED CLIENT'S MARGIN SHARES. So they have to buyback ultimately. WE NEED THE SLIDE TO STOP AND SOME CONSOLIDATION BEFORE RECOVERY TO NORMAL LEVELS. The slide had stop. We are 3 MKt days pass the Lowest Price.
I HAVE BEEN IN THIS INDUSTRY FOR OVER 40 YRS

This is some analysis. Anti-glove promotors here should show some analysis instead of repeatedly shouting and barking slogans

Supermax's 3 years PAT will exceed its current market cap of RM11 billion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Supermax, plan is to expand its nitrile glove production capacity to 28.5725 billion pieces by the end of this year, and to 40.5725 billion pieces by the end of 2022. As the company operates based on an OBM sales model and as it partners with government agencies in some of its major target markets, I have assumed utilization rate of 90%. According to analysts' projections, the consensus profit margin for this calendar year is going to be approximately 50%, for 2022 - 35%. For these two calendar years, the net should be:

CY2021 = RM4.98 billion (PV @ 7% WACC = RM4.654 billion)

CY2022 = RM2.997 billion (PV @ 7% WACC = RM2.618 billion)

Total for the two years = RM7.272 billion, or RM2.67 per share.

In other words, the cash on hand + the profit for this and the next calendar year, contains 94.3% of the entire current market value of the company.

The company must make close to no profit for its entire subsequent history for the current market valuation to make sense.

The myth that the demand will drop after the pandemic
-------------------------------------------------------
The Harta and Topglove CEOs had repeatedly stated that the Demand for gloves will exceed supply for the next 3 to 4 years . They stated that with facts . The short sellers continue to scare off the retail investors with statements like once pandemic is over , demand will go down , supply will exceed demand , price wars , ASP will go down but with no facts or numbers to substantiate their claims

Based on past data compiled by Topglove, during the 8 years from.2011 till 2019 , the CAGR of glove demand was 9 % even though thete was no pandemic during these 8 years. The world demand grew from 148 billions per year to 298 billions per year . During these 8 years the demand and supply was in equilibrium.

That means the total worldwide capacity was able to meet the demand without any excess capacity . This data showed that even.without pandemic , glove demand will continue to grow between.8 to 10 % per year.

Hope this will dispel the myth that the demand will drop after the pandemic.

Where did all the funds go?

In fact, it is not difficult to guess, everyone must buy "recovery stocks." In fact, simply think about it. How long will it take for recovery stocks to recover?

And how much of the current stock price has risen from the low point?
When their performance continues to see red, the market will continue to comfort itself, the next quarter will be better, and the stock price will continue to rise.

As for the so-called glove stocks that continue to issue promising results, the market will think that "it shouldn't be better for long," but the stock price has actually fallen by half or 50%.

Watch from here, which one do you think is safer?

Why insiders in the glove continue to buy their own stocks?

In fact, they are too familiar with their business, but they forget that the capital market is not because you think the performance will be good this year, and the stock will continue to rise. If your ASP increase is not as high as before, the market will begin to lose confidence in you. If your performance increase is not as high as analysts expected, your stock price will immediately reflect and so on. Their confidence comes purely from: ASP is still much better than before the epidemic, profits are still high, orders are still high, and profits are still many times higher than before the epidemic, and the fundamentals have not changed, but the stock price has fallen by half. , So I think it is definitely a good time to buy.

This is the confidence that they showed in recent conversations with some bosses.

Supermax: Trading at Forward PE of 3.3 While Sitting on RM3.56 Billion Cash Pile
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Author: Ben Tan | Publish date: Tue, 2 Mar 2021,

Supermax is describes the extent of market irrationality right now.

At midday market close, the stock of Supermax was trading at RM4.22. Ten analysts cover the stock (and all ten have "BUY" calls on it), and they have an estimated consensus PAT for FY21 at RM4.15 billion, and for FY22 at RM2.44 billion. Both of these estimates are at relatively low standard deviations. In fact, excluding KAF's bearish estimates, the standard deviation drops by about 30%. KAF have given a PAT estimate for FY21 at RM3.542 billion, which means that they expect the company will earn a total of RM1.642 billion over the next two quarters.

The company has already declared PAT of approximately 1.9 billion for the first half of FY21, so the remainder is RM2.25 billion. Assuming even distribution of profit in FY22, the first two quarters of that financial year should result in total PAT of RM1.22. Thus, the total estimated PAT for the next one year should be RM3.47 billion, or EPS = RM1.275.

This means that the 1-year forward PE at present is 3.3.

ASP to remain strong till end of year- at least
---------------------------------------------
“With industry players projecting shortage in nitrile gloves that could possibly last until 2023 due to the shortage in raw material supply, ASPs for rubber gloves are expected to remain robust in the next 18 to 24 months,” projected MIDF Research.

“We view that high raw material prices will lend support to ASP of nitrile gloves.”

While industry players are expanding at a faster pace to keep up with demand, the research house reckoned that this is not done without challenges.

Other than the shortage in nitrile rubber, the industry is also facing labour shortage due to the closure of international borders.

The established glove players expect to further automate their processes in order to reduce number of workers per million pieces.

“The four companies under our coverage expanded by an estimated 21% in CY2020 compared to the preceding year when demand growth was estimated at 25%,” observed MIDF Research.

“Production challenges are among the main reasons why industry players foresee that demand will exceed supply in the near future.”

Going forward, the research house acknowledged that companies under its coverage are looking to further improve their products and manufacturing processes through research & development (R&D) as well as sharpening their business strategies.

All-in-all, MIDF Research maintained its positive view on the sector as it believes that demand growth will continue after the COVID-19 pandemic.

--------------------------------------------
There has been a significant reshuffling of the shareholder base in the four big glove manufacturers. EPF, foreign funds, and insiders have been adding glovemakers to their portfolios. At the same time local institutional investors have been disposing due to reasons that might have to do with things unassociated with the business prospects of the companies. The next weeks will show if this was indeed the case or if local institutions have truly lost faith in gloves, leaving their international counterparts the opportunity to collect.

According to the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association, glove demand is expected to grow by 15% to 20% per annum going forward.

Meanwhile, another bank-backed research analyst says although glove stocks’ valuations are deemed very attractive now, investors are looking ahead to potential earnings post-pandemic.

At this juncture, we can’t be sure what kind of level ASPs will be at in 2022 or 2023.

The research analyst surmised that some of the recovery in glove stock prices, might be due to their cheap valuations.

Perhaps, investors are also anticipating another solid quarter from Top Glove.

The research analyst surmised that some of the recovery in glove stock prices, might be due to their cheap valuations.

Perhaps, investors are also anticipating another solid quarter from Top Glove.

Glovemakers expect 2021 to be a stronger year due to higher volume as a result of their production expansion, coupled with higher ASPs compared with 2020.

Ng of MIDF does not expect the new glovemakers to contribute to a surge in supply, as they are most likely to start from a smaller scale.

Glove supply is capped by the raw material limitation as well as the availability of foreign labour due to the closure of international borders, ” she points out.

A recent MIDF Research report notes that glovemakers are projecting a shortage in nitrile gloves that may last till 2023 due to the shortage in raw material supply.

The report says gloves’ consumption are expected to remain high in 2021, as mass and random testing will continue until a wide population is vaccinated.

“For example, in the United States, US$50bil is allocated to expand testing to buy rapid tests, increase laboratory capacity to support regular testing in schools so that they can reopen.

“Industry players also expect high demand for rubber gloves from the massive rollouts of vaccines. Buyers may need a few more month to rebuild their inventory level, ” says the report.

According to the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association, glove demand is expected to grow by 15% to 20% per annum going forward.

Prior to the pandemic, demand for gloves was growing by 8% to 12% per annum.

Dear Investors, It Is Time To Buy Gloves (Round 2)
Author: buffetsystem | Publish date: Wed, 3 Mar 2021, 12:14 AM

It is time to buy back, my dear investors. The prices for the glove counters are very cheap now.

Don't you dare say " glove trend is over". The word "trend" is never suppose to be used in the stock market world.

I understand many of you tried to shift to new trends. So did I. And I am very confident that many of you have lost so much already due to the late news or are STUCK right now. Only some of you earned. Maybe only at most 10% of you jumpers earn at least 30% from different counter during these period of 1 month. I am not including those who have invested in a particular counter for more than a month.

Exactly, what do you all mean by "Trend" also?

The word "trend" is actually a very wrong terminology when the term is supposed to be "profitable" to begin with.

Of all the healthcare subclasses, why was gloves the most popular stock in year 2020? Why not a facemask manufacturer? EVERYBODY wear face mask for goodness sake. Not everybody wear gloves. Only a few special groups of people wears glove. Remember, sanitizer was a trend too but it was not in the spotlight.

Let's be clear. Gloves was the top choice because of "profitability". You did not invest in glove when you hear "glove trend". You invested in it because of the "profit". We jump into gloves because it was making a huge huge tons of profit compared to any other healthcare subclasses. These huge tons of profits are due to overwheming export demands for next 12 months. Increase rate of ASP. Plus, no vaccine.

This year, we have vaccines. So many jump away. Strangely, vaccine companies are not the highlight. It is semiconductors that receives the spotlight. Very odd that semiconductor is a specific counter that most people prefer to invest in. And it make sense that it is because semiconductors are earning big profit too. However, it will not make as big of a profit like gloves this year. Sorry but it is true.

Topglove and many other glove counters has already reported that they could not take in any more order for this year and could only possibly take in more orders for year 2022. Infact, there are some reports stating that they had to INCREASE their ASP by 10%. Go and ask around. You are surrounded by investors who are better informed than me. They will even show you proofs on my behalf.

Don't believe their orders are full? Go call these glove companies. Their numbers are on Google. Take the trouble and call them to ask. Don't be surprise when i say that new glove counters are also picking up in orders despite not having any production lines or few only. This is true. Don't believe? Call them and ask for yourself. You will hear the truth with your own ears.

If you think that any of my info is wrong. Show me that i am wrong. In fact, show me that they won't be profiting more compared to last year. Show me that one of the big glove counters still have rooms to order for this year.

At the end of the day, it is all about "profitability". Gloves counter in Malaysia will be number one again this year. Mark my word, you will remember this article. Don't say i never inform you.

President Biden on Wednesday criticized state leaders for loosening protective measures, saying it was a “big mistake.”

Newly reported Covid-19 cases and deaths in the U.S. both rose from a day earlier, as public-health officials and experts warn that a recent drop in infections is showing signs of flattening.

“We are at a critical nexus in the pandemic,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said Wednesday, noting the seven-day averages of both new cases and deaths have increased from the prior seven days.

The possible stagnation in infections comes as more states are rolling back restrictions following a significant drop from highs reached in January. The moves have created friction.

At the same time local institutional investors have been disposing due to reasons that might have to do with things unassociated with the business prospects of the companies. The next weeks will show if this was indeed the case or if local institutions have truly lost faith in gloves, leaving their international counterparts the opportunity to collect.

Based on sound practices of technicals for many years.

Under the traits of DEMA, TEMA, ADX, and other technical readings, a sound rebound to 5.340 - 5.50 is imminent.

In terms of the company's growth, performance, company's management structure, ROE and the likes of its revenue = The health of its intrinsic value is fundamentally strong to be ignored.

My quantification of both the fundamental and technical? Strong buy.

TP: 5.340 - 5.50

U.S. suppliers to Chinese chip giant SMIC slow to get export licenses
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Author: Tan KW | Publish date: Thu, 4 Mar 2021,

The U.S. government has been slow to approve licenses for American companies like Lam Research and Applied Materials to sell chipmaking equipment to China semiconductor giant SMIC, even as a global shortage has supercharged chip demand, several sources said.

Licenses for U.S. suppliers to ship much of an estimated $5 billion dollars' worth of parts and components still have not come through, industry sources said, though many companies sought them soon after the company was blacklisted in December. Certain licenses have been granted, including for small numbers of expensive equipment in recent days.

As policy shifts under President Joe Biden, who took over from Donald Trump in January, U.S. government agencies led by new appointees still haven't completely decided what should be sold to Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp, which produces chips for Qualcomm and other American companies.

The Trump administration placed SMIC on the U.S. Department of Commerce's entity list over concerns of SMIC aiding China's military.

The listing, which requires U.S. suppliers to get a license before shipping goods to SMIC, is unusual because it says most products should be granted on a case-by-case basis. However, equipment that can be used to make only the most advanced, 10 nanometer and smaller chips is likely to be denied licenses.

Israel Fears South African COVID Strain Spreading Beyond Control
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Closing the borders did not stop this coronavirus strain from entering Israel: Dozens are being infected each day with the only variant to have shown to lessen vaccine effectiveness

Mar. 4, 2021 6:00 AM

Israeli efforts to stop the spread of the South African variant of the coronavirus, which included the shut down of Ben-Gurion International Airport last month, have brought little results, data shows.

Over 450 cases of the infection have been diagnosed so far in Israel, and health professionals estimate that dozens more are being infected each day.

The Health Ministry’s committees on vaccinations and the pandemic said two weeks ago that the variant was spreading beyond control.

Israel had already missed out on stopping the entry of the British variant, which is responsible for 90 percent of newly confirmed COVID-19 cases. Now the South African variant has been identified in hundreds of patients despite airport measures and isolating passengers in hotels.

Data in recent weeks on new variants from South Africa and Brazil has undercut optimism.

They now believe that SARS-CoV-2 will not only remain with us as an endemic virus, continuing to circulate in communities, but will likely cause a significant burden of illness and death for years to come.

The shift in thinking among scientists has influenced more cautious government statements about when the pandemic will end.

At least a few of the scientists Reuters interviewed said even in the wake of those results, they hadn't expected the vaccines to wipe out the virus.

Super net profit in the coming 3 years will be RM 10 billion.

At yesterday low price of RM 4/share, super mkt cap is around RM 10 billion.

As such, i believe RM 4 is really bottom and value emerged.

Having said that the sentiment is still no so good for gloves after vaccine is out unless vaccine is not effective against virus variant (due to mutations).

If drop again to RM 4.1 can buy low and sell high.

Price range will be RM 4.1-RM 5.50 in near term

Life after vaccines: When will it return to normal?

"It's unclear to me what an end to this pandemic will look like," said Dr Kim Roberts, a virologist at Trinity College in Dublin.

"It would take a huge global effort to eliminate SARS Covid 2.

"Whether it's even possible to eliminate this virus is hotly debated because of how it is mutating

The reason control measures will remain in place beyond vaccines is because Covid-19 jabs alone are unlikely to be sufficient to achieve herd immunity.

Demand and ASP for Gloves to surge for at least another year- and stabilise thereafter.

"The vaccines we have, no one knows how long they last...We need to prepare for the worst scenario. The worst scenario is that we have to vaccinate every half year."

That would mean as many as 36 million doses in the coming year, if all 9 million Israelis require two doses every six months, he said.
