Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) has extended by another year a contract awarded to Marine & General Bhd for the provision of two anchor handling tug supply vessels.

Marine & General — previously known as SILK Holdings Bhd — said the contract that was first awarded in January 2013, will now be extended from January to December 2018. The contract extension is estimated to be valued at RM33 million.

Consistent Delivery
I-Berhad recorded a net profit of RM19.6m (-12.5% YoY, +0.0% QoQ) for
3QFY17, similar to the immediate preceding quarter, to bring cumulative
9MFY17 net profit to RM57.7m (+10.3% YoY). While we continue to see strong
earnings recognitions on the back of its RM303.3m in unbilled sales, we are
lowering our net profit estimates for FY17 by 12% as we adjust for slower-thanexpected
contributions from its 8 Kia Peng project in Kuala Lumpur, which had
caused 9MFY17 numbers to meet only 66.8% of our previous full-year
estimates. Nonetheless, we continue to like I-Berhad’s value proposition and
attractive location in benefitting from the urbanization of the outer Klang Valley
region (Klang and Shah Alam) and still see it under-appreciated owing to its
predominant single-location focus. This, we believe, is unwarranted given its
steadily growing earnings and healthy margins (Figure 1) on the back of
encouraging sales numbers. Our Outperform call is retained with an
unchanged target price of RM0.91 based on a ~50% discount

Positive impact to VIHB’s construction expertise. We view the news as a positive influence on VIHB to expand its capacity and capabilities. CNQC is expected to compliment VIHB construction team in areas such as sub-structure, water infrastructure construction, real estate financing and residential development. All in, with the crosspollination of expertise, we estimate that construction margin will improve by +1.2% in FYE18/FYE19 due to the slated expansion of the project team to undertake higher volume of construction activities. Furthermore, CNQC’s track record will strengthen VIHB’s expertise to bid for higher-scaled project such as the East Coast Railway Link.

After much waiting, CNQC has announced their signature of indicative term sheet agreement with Vivocom major shareholder Golden Oasis and Ang LI Han for acquisition 29.5% shareholding in Hong Kong. Its show CNQC has been very much weighted on their decision and plan with Vivocom acquisition.

According to the star: A Hong-Kong listed construction and property developer with HK$2.2 billion cash is going to take a controlling stake in Vivocom.

Fundamentally, Vivocom currently at 14.5c is a bargain and discount now.

Firstly, its disapointing result of previous few quarters due to late billing from developers means that in the future few quarters would have good result.

Second, with a Hong-Kong listed construction company as substantial shareholder of Vivocom, potentially they are going to inject billions worth of contracts into Vivocom

Thirdly, together with current construction theme play in Bursa, Vivocom would be greatly benefited.

Lastly, technically, for the past week, Vivocom has been on an uptrend according to MACD, SMA200, EMA20, RSI & Stochastic.

From my point of view, Vivocom will trend upwards in the short term, presenting opportunities to traders, and long-term investors in the long term.

Recall that loss-making computerised maintenance management system provider Orion IXL is expected to return to the black with the proposed acquisition of privately held ASAP, which is estimated to be completed by August or September this year. The acquisition comes with a profit guarantee of RM7.5 million per year, for two years.

The proposed acquisition of ASAP for RM73 million and rights issue with warrants to raise estimated proceeds of RM79.2 million to fund the acquisition have been approved in the group's extraordinary general meeting held on May 30 this year.
