The gain from 1 sen per share to 2 sen per share is 100%.

A drop from 2 sen per share to 0.56 sen per share is a drop of 72%.

From 1 sen to 0.56 sen is a drop of 44%.




Lesson of the year 2020

A gain of 100% disappeared by a drop of 50%.

A drop of 72% from 2 sen and a drop of 44% from 1 sen means calvin is swimming naked in Netx today.

2 fundamental questions to ask with regards to share buybacks:

1. Does the company has cash in excess of its usual business requirement that it can deploy to buy these shares? Answer: YES

Mr Tan, the director of Netx owned RM 10,000 of Netx prior to consolidation and RI. He bought this amount just before the exercise and as an outsider, I think just to look good in the RI prospectus.

The 3 directors acquired 30% of Netx through subscribing to the excess RI. This failing company has raised a huge amount of cash RM80 m , given the size and nature of its business.

What might be the reason for the quick sales of shares and warrants by Mr Tan soon after? Easy answer: the price of Netx was overpriced. (Of course, raider and calvin argue and promote otherwise. raider talks about his margin of safety. Do you believe in these jokers' snakeoil nonsense?)

Again the stock market has rewarded those with patience and with a good investing philosophy. Stay with good quality growth companies bought at fair price for the long term.

It is very easy to calculate the value of Netx. It raised RM 80 m through its RI. Its share price should be less than <<< 13 sen per share: given its gruesome business that is highly competitive and running losses. Going forward, it will still need to raise capital due to the nature of its business and high cash burn.

Very smart moves by directors at their personal level. I will have done similarly. The best timecto cash out profitably out of Netx-WA. It is a depreciating asset as Netx is losing money and the time value is maximum now, declining over time.

On the other hand, shareholders in Netx should not be surprised to discover later that the insiders hold very little shares in their company, though they are holding 30% post consolidation. Will they be surprised that these shares are soon distributed to the lay investors like in the past?

These insiders have gained from their involvement in Netx over the last decade NOT through increasing the intrinsic value of their company. Where have all the funds raised over the years gone too? Where have operating expenses gone too?

For almost 1 year, from Oct 2019 to October 2020, many in this thread observed the promotions of Netx by calvin and his sidekick, raider here. Over this period, they ended swimming naked in the mud longkang of Klang swinging their tiny pendulums.

For this new period, starting November 2020, we are privileged to observe again. A new group of players sucked into this counter NetX. There are 2 good reasons for a share price to go up: (1) it declared excellent earnings or (2) its price is manipulated. The shares of Netx are being distributed again and many will fall prey to the manipulators, especially if they chase this stock.

V-shaped recovery of many stocks' prices in my portfolio today.
