Company buyback shares is NOT from the open market. There is a pool of shares meant for the open market but not yet purchased.The company buy back that shares thus reducing the potential public to own shares.Its normally a good indication. Good for shareholders.

good company...bought at 9 cts mths back n sold half at 18 recently. My shares are now free ...Look at their P n L...improving but profit a bit only...im surprised that they pushed up the shares to 2x ...real surprised...
