I think most of the investor here regardless of race cares only about profit. If shariah compliant is so important, they wouldn't allocate preferential shares to bumis only.
Anyway, this counter profit margin is very very small. I shall wait and see how it goes. Maybe it'll end up like ioiprop. :)

lim mood very fragile. one minute he scream RM1. next minute, he sold off everything and move on. careful.

Reading some of the comments, I think everyone's target entry price is around 1.00. If the share price really did reach 1.00, their target entry price will be 0.80. Eventually, they'll only enter if they get it for free/or get paid to enter.

the risk isn't the company's factory disruption as its temporary.
the risk if of public sentiment or shareholder sentiment towards this issue.

My 2 cents opinion.
1) Factory damages will be compensated by the insurance company. No issue here. Only issue is when Latitude will get the payment.
2) Latitude has other factories in Malaysia and Thailand. They will likely ramp up production and clear their inventories in these 2 countries to meet customer demands while waiting for the vietnam side to settle. Every company will definitely have some sort of inventories for a few months. I don't believe Latitude is so powerful in that all their furnitures are sold as soon as they are made. At most, there'll be some delay in fulfilling some of their customers demands.
3) VSIP is a export orientated park. Business will resume in a week or two weeks. Since Vietnam depend very much on companies base here for their GDP, its in their interest to see that VSIP resume production ASAP. As for the important documents etc, the vietnamese government will speed things up because its in their interest to do so.
4) No one can predict what the share price will be. It might rebound or it might drop. If you think this company has a future after this temporary setback, then buy when it hits your price target. If you think this company dies after the vietnam riot (double limit down etc), then, please sell.
5) You don't buy furniture when you feel poor. You buy them when you feel rich or when you have a 2nd house. Global economy recovery is happening atm. And latitude will ride this wave well. :)
Happy investing.

Rule number one. If there's no MOS, you shouldn't be in it in the first place. Rule number two. If by luck you're in, cut loss after a drop of 10% and move on. Don't succumb to loss aversion and lose your savings in this game called the stock market. I've cut loss in two counters in the past. And using those proceeds, I've made several folds of profit now while those two counters are still bleeding.

Haha. I'm not a sifu, but, I will still maintain that this counter intrinsic value is about RM2. You can scroll through my previous posting. 1 month ago I said it, now I am reiterating it. Anything above RM2 is hope. Hope that the contract would be extended. Hope that they will install CCTV all around Malaysia. Hope that they'll make IC for other countries. Hope. Of course, hope that I am wrong and this counter to fly to RM10 again for those who have a lot of hope :)

Johnson, I've sold all my Dsonic holdings at 3.64 many weeks ago (before it went up to RM4.80). At that time, many bulls were singing praise and I told them that Dsonic is probably worth RM2++. I think Dsonic is going towards that RM2 figure now. As of now, MOS for Dsonic is 0.

Kenanga states that there's another 19% upside...which is approaching my TP :)

lim's counter usually die de wo.
CMSB, DSONIC, AEON, DKSH. Correct Lim? Bet you'll run away from this counter at any red number :)

if you look at the IB report, they project yearly increase in profit, hence TP of RM8. But, bonia is a cyclical stock. to have y-o-y increase in profit for the next 4-5 years can be quite challenging. RM5 would be a fairer price.

haha. its ok la. I don't go back in after exciting a position unless something changed drastically.
a good example is Dsonic (tewnama knows it)
I've also exited Karex a month back and now it's flying high (no regrets too)
On the other side of the coin, using the proceeds from those 2 stocks, I've gain more than 20% now from takaful (20% gain), deleum (10% gain), inari (30%) gain and Gadang/SBCCORP/PTaras :).
money can be made anywhere. but most importantly, have fun when making them :)

30 more minutes. Looks like 2.50 may not be reached today :(
2014-04-14 16:08 | Report Abuse
Intrinsic price for this share is at least RM3.10 - RM3.30.
I haven't even factor in the fact that there's more smartphones/gadgets out there than toothbrushes combined.
Imagine Inari going on full capacity over the next few months + listing to main market soon (which means the benefit of institutional investors and their expertise).
The price will be everyone's guess.
What happen today are just noises. Profit taking or maybe tracking Nasdaq drop (technology). Of course, I might be wrong and if price plunge down to RM2, please protect your current profit. But if I'm right, there's this is what we call, lost opportunities. :)
Happy investing :)

Fortunebullz, 30cents? put a queue at RM2.35 then. I wanna see if you get it :).

Takaful is probably fairly priced now. Have a look at other counters instead. I can point you to a few strong ones. SBCCORP, GADANG or PTARAS are my top picks. I've already made quite a far bit now but they still have more than 40% upside potential!

Unfortunately, I sold off on Friday BEFORE the bonus announcement. Felt quite sad. But today, Gadang rose more that 5% (I bought it on Friday from the proceeds from Matrix). Anyway, happy investing! Matrix can easily cross Rm4.50! :)

Base on the assumption of long term growth rate of 18%
Scientex intrinsic value is around RM7.2
Upside potential: 24.6%
The new production lines will drive profit higher for this year.
Scientex launches in Johor would also contribute greatly. I've already invested 15% of my holdings in this company with great faith :)

Revisited this share.
Personal target price: Rm3.30
Base on the assumption of a long term growth rate of 30% using old figures (40m instead of 70m)
Upside potential: 20%
Multiple rerating catalyst ahead such as transfer to main board.
Happy investing :)

Started a position in Gadang today.
Intrinsic price: RM2.80
Base on the assumption that long term profit growth rate: 15 - 20% over the next 10 years
Upside potential: 95% from current share price.
Happy investing :)

If it goes below 12.2 tomorrow, please take profit to protect previous gains. Otherwise TP is about 13 - 13.3. Shares go up and down. Its better to protect profit and buy back later :)

If you buy similar companies from the same industry, they tend to move in tandem. so they tend to move together when its good and when its bad. in this scenario, you are not diversifying your risk. instead, I rather have 2 companies in 2 different industries so that in case one doesn't perform, one can perform. for example, when MH370 went missing, Allianz and takaful BOTH went down. I managed to see that takaful wasn't really involved in the MH370 fiasco (the drop in share price was really due to sentiment) and hence I bought in at a low price. this counter basically gets everything from the government. Allianz has been adopting a conservative growth and their over reliance on motor insurance make them a weaker counter due to the fact that motor insurance claims are almost always excessive (you can ask your friends who had a car accident and their insurance processed by a runner). besides Allianz stock liquidity is extremely poor. takaful will be a better counter :)

8.50 a bit too high la. my TP about 7.20-7.30. I think that's more realistic.
2014-04-07 20:45 | Report Abuse
good opportunity to top up if it goes below 4.3. we know the CAGR, we know the TP. collect at good price and once it hits a TP of say 5.40, unload all at once. that's how you get handsome profit :)
2014-04-07 20:43 | Report Abuse
haha. scientex. influenced by me? :)
2014-04-07 20:41 | Report Abuse
tq asamlaksa. I usually use conservative figures to calculate TP. and I only buy if there's about 25% upside. hence, even if my figures are wrong during computing, I guess the downside would be limited. just need one or 2 more contracts from PETRONAS and the upside will easily be more than 20%.
