Emma: No one can predict the future :P

Set a price in mind and queue for it. If you get it, well done. If you don't, you don't lose out. Chasing the ups and downs will eventually lead you to a losing position.

@optimusprime. Calculating DCF takes into account many factors. Everyone can calculate DCF but whether the input you use is accurate is another story. We use DCF to estimate the intrinsic price and then use the difference between our estimated intrinsic price and share price as a margin of safety. Of course, DCF isn't the only factor in deciding whether to invest. ROE, economic moats, profit margins etc...all contributes to deciding whether a particular stock is worth investing.

Another benefit of KAREX which I have not highlighted is the progress towards automation of its supply lines. Sooner the capital expenditure will match the depreciation and amortisation costs which again would elevate the profit margin.

@optimusprime. Oxygen isn't free in some places ie hospitals. Again, your reasoning lacks credibility or common sense. One of the reasons why people are still poor has to do with financial education. If you're not educated financially, you're bound to get a percent of your wealth taken away everytime you make a major transaction (look at mortgages) Secondly, you can teach everyone to calculate DCF or estimate your target price and still lose money because market is irrational and driven by greed and fear. However, in long term, share price do appreciate (applicable to good fundamentals business) due to many factors such population expansion and inflation.

@optimusprime. my target value is based on my calculations and estimations. I don't find that irresponsible. You might as well not speak because everything that comes out from your mouth so far (based on previous posts) is either degrading, nonsense or worthless and that is very very irresponsible. Grow up :)

6.22 TP based on DCF for me. Assuming KAREX grows 10% annually and rubber prices continue to be depressed :)

From DCF calculations of estimated 8% growth annually and using discounted rate of 5%, I arrived at an intrinsic price of 4.50. However, 8% which I used is a very conservative estimate. The actual intrinsic price could well be 5.00 or higher assuming a 10% growth annually. I suggest buy and hold for long term (half year to a year). Yield from dividend would exceed 5%, another good thing from this counter.

Intrinsic value assuming a 10% growth is RM6.22 according to my DCF calculations. I don't look so much on the price. As long as its a fair price and below the intrinsic value with good business operations and expansion, it'll be a good buy. It also has the economy of scale (world largest manufacturer) and with good expansion plans ahead and rising awareness and use of condoms, Karex is set to rise even further. With rubber prices remaining low and ringgit becoming weaker, there'll be lower production costs and higher profit margin due to the higher gain from forex. At the moment, per capita of condom usage is 3. I think the potential for growth is remarkable. A weak company will not become world's best. The fact that Karex is the world's largest manufacturer, I'm convinced the management team is a strong and sound team. My 2 cents. :)

Next re-rating catalyst will be either the "transfer to main board news" or the "quarter report". If performance remains positive, price will go up regardless of what the directors did last month. Hold if you can wait, sell if you can't. Simple as that.

Hold for long term. Another good report and it'll start flying. 3 months isn't a long time.

fundamentals are good. profits is going up. if the share price doesn't go up after split, either you keep it for long term, or you sell it after earning a small profit. as for me, I believe this company will do good. remember the distinction between investing and speculating and you'll do good. :)

I think share split will increase affordability for the stocks and it will rise sharply after share split. The fundamentals of the company is good. Increasing profits and also contracts from the government. Currently not too pricy as well.
