KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar today on weak demand for the local currency, dealers said.

At 9am, the ringgit was traded at 4.1630/1700 from 4.1520/1620 against the greenback last Friday.

A dealer said the local note's position was also in line with the US dollar which opened at a 3 1/2-month low today, influenced by the global economic slowdown as global oil prices slid again.

"With the greenback trading at this level following the fall in global crude oil prices, the US Federal Reserve might hold back its decision to raise interest rates in the near future," he added.

I just notice the downtrend of supermx chart recently is similar with previous november, 15-30th where the price keep dropping until quarter result released. It seems somebody try to collect supermx at low price before continue the rallies..

There is a reasoj why all IB set higher TP for Supermx other than pushing their warrants. So I agree with you that Supermx is in deep oversold. the price seems stablizling at rm3 despite ringgit strengthened. no more big dump for CNY.. can see it fly higher for result play another 2 weeks..

On top of that, TPPA has just signed. We will see export counters will benefit from this..ramp up production and penetrating countries like US, Mexico etc.

Profit taking is normal. Traders tend to lock profit and avoid bring their stocks overnight. But as long as the stock is uptrend, we can see these people will come again tomorrow morning and push the stock up.. :)
