I'm not a sifu for sure, but I can calculate things and know when numbers don't add up.

For example, when I hear that a 10% increase per month for 3 months leads to a 5 times increase in net profit I will expect there to be a mistake in the calculation. Once I expect this I will get curious and have a look. Since the calculation was provided by KYY (this is to his credit, a lot of people will not even show the calculation but just share the end result) I can easily check it for errors.

In this case the mistake was that he used a quarter's revenue instead of a month's revenue as his base to calculate the other months.

In the 3rd quarter ending May, its revenue Rm 1,688 million – PBT 422 million = Rm 1,266 million production cost.

This is for 3 months, assuming May had about 40% of the revenue for these 3 months:
=1,688 million x 0.4 = 675.2 For May
Add 10% 742.7 For June
Add 10% 817.0 For July
Add 10% 898.7 For August

Total revenue for the 3 months is Rm 2458.4 – production cost Rm 1,266 = PBT Rm 1192.4 million.

Total PBT for 4th quarter Rm 1,192.4 million. Assuming 25% tax PAT Rm 894 million

Total issued 2.7 billion shares

EPS for the 4th quarter Rm 894 million divided by 2.7 billion = 33 sen

Its EPS for 3rd quarter was 13.59 sen

Profit increase by 33 sen divided by 13.59 sen = 2.43 times.

This article has a major calculation error: Top Glove’s 4th Q profit is 5 times its 3rd Q profit? Koon Yew Yin

Liking this counter. With current findings their revenue is going to increase a lot. If gold price up more their revenue is going to increase further. If they find more gold in the other parcels...

HARTA: EPS 6.5 sen, x 4 quarters = 26 sen, I generously add 50% this year to get RM 0.39, share price is RM 19.94, PE ratio: 51
Latest dividend 2.1sen x 4 = 8.4 sen, dividend yield 0.42%

BAT: EPS 19.1 sen, x 4 quarters = 76.4 sen, add 10% for recovery after MCO this year to get RM 0.84, share price is RM 10.58, PE ratio: 13
Latest dividend 18sen x 4 = 72 sen, dividend yield 6.8%

HARTA has a current estimated PE ratio of 51 with a dividend yield much lower than for a FD. I don’t have the guts to go to the glove casino at these valuations and sleep relaxed every night with BAT.

6.5 EPS x4 =0.26 for 4 quarters
Add 50% to it = 0.39 RM/year (50% may be too high)
PE 20, target RM 7.8

Current dividend yield: 8.4 sen = 0.42%

You are still not discussing any actual numbers. So there is nothing to discuss.

I'll use the words in your latest blog instead and just change the name of the stock.

BAT latest quarter is out. Results is bad, but still can make profit. So I u-turn say good because during the lockdown period if a Company can still make profit, it's like a miracle already.

Your article does not discuss revenue or profit.

Your article does not discuss if there has indeed been a huge increase in borrowings recently. To do this you could compare borrowings to 1 year ago, 2 years ago, 3 years ago, etc.
