Out of these positives patients, 3646 patients have recovered. that would mean around 1500 employees have been under quarantined for almost 3 weeks now and another 3646 patients have at least been discharged from the range of 0 days to 14 days. If other businesses are allowed to operate after a week, why it is selective for Top Glove? If politicians can released from quarantine within 10 days, why they still quarantine Top Glove employees for almost 21 days now? Why the double standards and double the duration of quarantine? If the cluster is so serious, isn't that a 21 days quarantine has proven that the remaining employees are Covid free? Isnt 21 days of factories closure and disinfection has more than enough? even without disinfection, the virus would have all died and destroyed by themselves. This is just more than health issue but of other agenda as well. Just wait for tomorrow announcement and see. If my observation is correct, the authorities may announce opening of factories in stages starting with the first 1500 employees who have gone through 21 days quarantine to back to work. These 1500 employees would be able to start at least 5 factories.

EPF should have completed their selling down of Top glove by today based on their trends to reduce below 5% and cease to be major shareholder of Top Glove. There is no sbb for the past two days and the volumes were much lower. Indirectly saying no need to defend the price anymore from EPF sell down. Rough estimation that EPF has exited RM1 billion value from Top Glove due to the recent sell down.

@btuscy, BCP is done by BCP experts and specialist. not just normal business analysts who are not trained in it or have the relevant experiences. Most BCP fail because it is only good on paper but not on real scenarios and practicality. I knew of companies who said got backup for its servers and data center but when disaster strike the data center, the backup unable to be recovered. Next, during the post mortem, we found out they have never do any recovery testing before. They just run the backup batch job daily and weekly not knowing if they would be able to recover or the staffs know what to do in case of recovering the data.

time to move 50% of your production away from Klang. That is y it is always good not to concentrate everything at a single location. Top Glove still concentrate 50% of its operation in Klang. No doubt when vaccine is really developed and distributed and ppl start to get vaccinated and Covid 19 gets contained, glove would not command such a value because the revenue would be lower, profit would be lower. Hence, it is logically and statically for it to goes down to its fair value. Just like what happened during SARS, HINI, etc.

Now the question here is that Covid 19 has been around for almost a year now and there is still no sight of it slowing. The damage done for a year could not be just reversed in just 1 month. Many storage of PPE have been exhausted and there have been lot of orders placed to replace such storage and current usage. Gloves profit is foreseeable to be excessive in 2021. That is 14 months more for glove theme. Dont forget that Winter is coming and the northern hemisphere gonna get worst. Experts already said it gonna be worst than last year due to community spreading. Last year was still about China tourists bringing the virus over to Europe. This year would be total different ball game.

Just to add a note here that for vaccine to be developed, tested and approved within a year time is marvelous feat by itself. But im skeptical that it could be achieved looking at how vaccine needs an average of 5-7 years time to develop. And some disease has no vaccine at all. For example Dengue. So give them a 50% warp speed (as in Star Trek), experts and scientists may be able to roll out a vaccine within 2.5 - 3.5 years. That is a miracle by itself. We yet to talk about the logistic and vaccination program for 7 billions earthlings @ Human. Next come the issues on logistic, purchase priorities, halal and non halal question, poor countries that cant afford it just like those in Africa.
