More rounds of Bank Niaga share dividend distribution is gonna come and if we look at the price now, the Bank Niaga share price is roughly double from the previous exercise

I think the deal would not materialize if the offer is at 1.5b. Gamuda and TSWA would not accept and hold out for a higher offer. Meanwhile KPS would be silly to accept and take at huge lost on divestment while selling their jewel in the crown. KPS would be not a fundamentally strong company if they had sold their Splash portion for just 500m

At 1.5B, I think KPS is a sell. At 2.8B, it is surely a limit-up...

I'm invested in this counter from many years ago. So far, can see that the company is getting more stable as compared to last time. It's one of those counters that have been serving me well thru these years. Not gigantic gains but 2x better than FD

Meathere: Yeah, I agree some of his postings are not actually investment type articles. Maybe it's because he's a TA guy so sometimes he just posts some chart and talks resistance/support/blah-blah. I'm no TA guy but sometimes I find his other postings fun to read and a different flavour than some so-called investment articles/recommendations to buy articles in i3. I3 would be a boring place if everyone is discussing P/E, ROI, WACC, ROIC, CAGR, FCF, PATAMI, etc. Chill there, there's more to life than making money in the share market...Just my 2cents

Sellers volume strong today. Looks like some people wanna keep this share from flying. But I like what I'm seeing in the Q-results so far with the contribution from the chemical sales segment. Definitely not selling any KPS(or some call it penguins) for the moment, wanna buy more instead but no money...

Well, I believe the old management is going to step down but I think this business is not that hard to run. KPS should put in some good management and hopefully the profits will keep rolling in since I think they bought at a decent price. Just wondering what company will KPS acquire next?

Wah, HLe charges custodian fees to hold the Bank Niaga shares. Don't feel like paying the custodian fees but also don't feel like cashing out. Any advice?

upsidedown119: IMHO, there is a minimum take-up in the Splash concession agreement. So even though they can build another new water-treatment plant or use Langat2, they will still need to pay Splash for the minimum take-up amount monthly and also the past receivables. Going by this, I think it is cheaper to just buy-out Splash. Just my 2 cents...Politically, i have no opinion

Ktteh: That's probably after minus all the transaction, brokerage and forex fees and charges. Like what they say, we minority shareholders always get the short end of the stick. What u could probably do is go to the next AGM and voice out. I think they could provide a better conversion rate for the cash option rather than fixing it such a low rate. Somebody is probably making some good money out of this...

Bank Niaga closing today=1,040 vs cash option value=504. More than 50% difference.
IMHO, I think better to take share option cos CIMB is going to continue giving Bank Niaga share dividend in the future since they need to reduce to 75% holding to comply with Indonesia ruling...

It's 1000/6.39=156.49. Hence, u get 156 units of Bank Niaga. U should create one, it's free anyway@HLe. I checked with HLe, they will allow those with foreign account to keep the Indonesia shares, but they haven't confirm if they will charge custody fees or not. Else, u can go for cash option
