A bit busy as I was focusing on the market just now. Always good to lock in some trading profits along the way as I suspect good Q1 result probably priced in already. BTW those are from my real trades. Gone were the good old days of 7 digit profit and I have lowered my expectation.

Price action today looks like mirroring last friday's action. On short term, trading range may be between 4.50+ to 4.90+. Good Q1 result could be largely priced in already after a big rally so need to be cautious on sell-in-news syndrome.

Always a good idea to lock in some profits along the way. You never know what will happen next in the current bad market condition. After a huge rally and expectations for good Q1 result is high, the risk of a sharp drop becomes higher. I have to manage my risk and position size. If Q1 result is stunningly good and price rally higher, heng ah. If Q1 result below expectation and price drop, heng also and quickly exit the balance. Safety always come first for me. The market will always be there to make the next investment or trade. But I have to make sure I survive (protect my precious capital) and doing ok (making more money than lose) in order to capitalise on the next opportunity the market offers.

Our opinions on the Q1 result are not important. The market's opinion on the Q1 result is the most important because in stock market, the market is always right. Tmr and Fri we will know what is the market's opinion.

GenP's 2021 Q4 net profit after tax n minority interest was rm161m. 2022 Q1 figure is rm116m. Average price of CPO in Q1 was abt 30% higher than in Q4. But net profit dropped by almost 30% compared to Q4. This Q1 result for GenP is way below my expectation :(

Just called my analyst friend, he says that article is old news, month of May confirm trial result wont come out. At earliest is month of June. I scared scared leh usually delay result release is not so promising.... He feels that it is too risky bet against the 99.9% failure rate which includes big names like JNJ, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Biogen, Roche, etc.... :(

Yes very high risk, super high return. If 0.1% chance can go against all odds and become a success, really chiak beh liow!

I remember I was trading this stock back in 27/07/2016 and there was also a period of alzheimer's play on this stock. Then suddenly GentB collapsed from rm8.40 to 7.30 after the same alzheimer's company reportedly failed their clinical trial. So this time it is a re-trial of a previously failed drug. Tolong better make it this time. This one really need a lot of praying.

Since that 2014 article, none has passed alzheimer's trial. Thats makes it 99.9% failure rate.

I checked with an analyst friend he said Genting owns only 17.5% after numerous rounds of fund raising since the original 20.5% back in 2012, plus 2 rounds of rights issue exercises recently by the alzheimer's drug company. Result at earliest is next month. Jp morgan info a bit off this time.

Im from "outside window", your southern neighbour. Bursa has been kind and generous to me so far except depreciating ringgit. I just treat it as part of business cost at Bursa. I don't have the advantage of local market news and local market feel, hence I depend mostly on my charts.

Amboi oldman said see you at KLCI 13XX and outside window very good. Good for us to be hiding in Bursa when outside window thunderstorm for months. Ha!

I won't risk my precious capital if Im not confident on my trades. So far my success rate for this stock is abt 90%. When you taste the sweet honey of GenB, you will keep coming back :)

Quite good performance considering Singapore was having daily covid infection rate of 20k to 30k after CNY and March.

Next week GenP's result shd be very impressive. We are on track for a superb turnaround story for the entire GenB group.

Does it really matter how many foreigner or local shareholders in order to make profit in stocks? Observing the price action (100 years ago it was known as the "ticker tape") is much more crucial.

I have been looking at this data for months, especially the total value bought and sold. The fact is foreigners are net buyers while local institutions are net sellers of Bursa stocks for months already.

Unless there is evidence from GenB's company registry on all their shareholders differentiating foreigners % and local %, then compare them 3 years ago to the latest data. Ok that is a fair enough evidence. But such data is not easy to compile. GentB has 103,899 shareholders.... Who are foreigners, who are locals for these 103,899 account holders? Does it matter? If more buyers are bullish, price will move up. If more bearish sellers and lack of buyers, price move down.
