The way I see it, short selling value is 14M+ but its intraday so they have to buy back the shares before closing which means if the price is constant, another 14M of value would be transacted ie if not borrowed from their brokers.

Exercise Price for HIBISC CK-1.20 based on VWAP for 5 days up to expiry date which is 12-18th April. These 2 days price at 1.02 which means for IB not to make any payouts, next 3 days price must average 1.32 and below? Reckon it's safe for them not to intervene and those IDiotSS today who punted probably lost in transaction costs.If BRENT keeps on its trend, tomorrow could be the day of it's breakout!

On the other hand, with the level of shorting happening, the price maintained. Selling was well absorbed.Expect a breakout soon.

There's something real fishy going on with the IDSS transactions. With such huge amount of 14M to cover their shorts and with the price hovering between 1.02 and 1.03, one would think there would be a major rush at the end but it was only for a few million, from 3 pm till closing just a total of 6.5M in transactions total. Really don't know what to make of it. Anyone can shed some light? I know you can borrow from your brokers to help you cover but the amount is staggering.

A reason could be that HIBI is one of those counters that have stamp duty exemption so much so that the lower transactional costs equates to higher profits even with small price changes. Stand to be corrected tho.

U.S. crude oil inventories rose more than expected last week, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly report on Wednesday.
The EIA data showed that crude oil inventories rose by 7.07 million barrels in the week to March 1.


And guess what, Brent didn't even blink, instead it rose! So let's see what the shorties do tomorrow if Brent holds. I know they were betting this morning on the API report but probably started panicking when nothing happened.

Not likely by IB cos E.P. of CK is 1.20 and bit premature to risk trying to suppress at this point. I reckon just retailers betting on the fall of WTI and BRENT.
